Sir Nasty (@SIR7NASTY4) - Insomnia

Graveyard Entertainment's Sir Nasty bringing that real talk. One of the stand out tracks for me is # 7. I'm Doing Better (Dear Hip-Hop) In this ode to hip hop Sir Nasty rides the song cry beat exclaiming, "Fvxk hip hop!", asking the classic question "why you let Wayne say he the best?",  and standing firm on his underground grind. Overall it has a real street vibe, but doesn't divert too far from  concepts and catchy hooks. Insomnia is available for download free. Support indie music. Visit sirnasty74.com to stay updated.

"High Society" is the first single from his forthcoming album Terminal Illness 2, which will also feature Masta Killa, Roc Marciano, Cappadonna, Planet Asia, Skyzoo, DJ Switch, Bronze Nazareth, Kevlaar 7, Salute Da Kidd, P.R. Terrorist, Killah Priest, Hell Razah, Shabazz The Disciple, Bugsy Da God, Cyrus Malachi, Tesla's Ghost, Ray Vendetta, Sav Killz, Supreme, Darkim be Allah, Prodigal Sunn, William Cooper and M9. In 2010 Duck Down Records released Adamantine, Endemic's collaboration record with Ruste Juxx which featured General Steele of Smif N Wessun and Ill Bill. “This song was started when me & Tragedy Khadafi started to work," says Endemic about the new single. "He actually wanted to do the whole song and use it for his next album but I loved the beat and wanted it for TI2. It has that kind of vibe, we then confirmed Ruste & Afu to get on there and you have a potential NYC classic joint!" Regarding Endemic, Tragedy says “Endemic is more than a beat maker or producer; he actually understands how to marry an MC to his sound, that’s more than hip hop – that profound!” Terminal Illness 2 drops November 26 on No Cure Records.

New Single: Truth Universal f/ Rakaa Iriscience (@TheRealRakaa) - "People Get Ready":

When I got this beat from Kev Brown and dropped these 8 bar verses on it, the scheme reminded me of “Worst Comes to Worst” by Dilated. I IMMEDIATELY heard Raaka spitting to this. I reached out, let him hear it, and he was in. I must say, of all the “established” cats I’ve worked with, this is one of the most exceptional performances. This Bro. became a part of this song. I’m both grateful and honored to share this song with both Rakaa and Kev Brown. If you ain’t ready… -TU

Corrupt Judge Was Texting Instructions To Prosecutors To Help Send People To Prison

This is just one of the "justice" systems' dirty little secrets. Wake up! Stop fighting each other and open your eyes to what's really going on around you.
The Texas district Judge Elizabeth E. Coker is stepping down from the bench after she is being heavily scrutinized because of a texting scandal. A recent whistle blowing case exposed that the judge was SMS messaging prosecutor’s questions that they should ask the people on the stand to secure a conviction. The accusations popped up when media stories came out that Coker was sending inappropriate texts to Polk County Assistant District Attorney Kaycee Jones while she ruled over a criminal trial August of last year. Once the allegations were launched, the commission decided to launch an investigation against to see if it was true that she was texting questions to Jones that she believed would get her a conviction.

Chris Brown Checks Into Anger Management

TMZ sources suggest that Brown flew off to L.A. after getting released from the D.C. jail and met with L.A. County Probation Department officials. Sources also report that his mom and GF Karrueche accompanied him to the facility.

If the judge decides Brown violated his probation, he could sentence him to as much as 4 years in prison.

Freeway Rick Says Talk Is Cheap Jay Z: ‘It’s not enough to comment about Barneys’

by Stereo Williams
The controversy surrounding high-end department store Barneys, racial profiling and hip-hop mogul Jay Z continues to spark conversation and commentary. Following accusations that Barneys profiles and harasses young African American patrons of its Manhattan location, many called for Jay to pull out of his planned partnership with the store. While advocates like Rev. Al Sharpton have defended Jay, former drug kingpin “Freeway” Rick Ross was asked for his take and offered a different perspective on Jay’s recent statement regarding his business dealings with Barney’s.
“I read the Jay Z comments on Barneys asking why he’s being judged, you’re being judged because that’s what comes with basing your career off the D-boy game,” Rick told AllHipHop. “The game is give and take with those around you. It’s not enough to comment about Barneys profiling when you sell products to the people possibly targeted. People that look like people you grew up with, and that are in your family. We know the reality of this country in regard to race. You stand up for them immediately when it comes to something as sensitive as racial profiling.”
Ross added that rappers have to acknowledge that many of the brands they champion in their music don’t value their fans as a demographic.
“You have to have context of American history that this profiling is happening and be honest, and demand the people you partner with to be of the type that treat your people fairly,” he explained. “This is the big problem of the high-end luxury these rappers talk about and have our children hooked on for status. They are not in our interest as a community, and often, as seen in the profiling case, they look down upon us as customers.

Chris Brown Arrested For Felony Assault

Article by: HP Celebrity
Chris Brown was arrested in Washington D.C. this morning (Oct. 27) for felony assault after allegedly attacking a man outside a hotel, TMZ reports.

According to ABC News, a D.C. police spokeswoman said Brown got into an argument with a man outside the W Hotel at 15th and Pennsylvania Avenue at 4:30 a.m. Brown reportedly began punching the man after the situation got heated. Officials believe he was not under the influence of anything at the time of the incident.

Brown is currently in custody and will be held until court on Monday (Oct. 28), since he is not eligible for release until seeing a judge, a source told ABC News. As for the other man, TMZ has learned that he's being evaluated at a D.C. hospital.

This arrest could be very bad news for Brown, considering he is still on probation for the Rihanna beating case. If he did violate his probation with this incident, worst case scenario, Brown could be sentenced to nearly four years in prison.

He was in D.C. to host a Howard University Homecoming after party.

What About This Is Funny? New Slaves

Can you think of anything that makes this amusing? Me either. This post was shared on Facebook by Danielle Monique Whitelow Read what she wrote about it and share as much as you can stand it. We have to expose these coons at all cost.
"I'm sharing this so others can see the nastiness and ignorance that lurks beneath. The last documented lynching took place in 1981. Picking cotton was arduous labor. The chattel slavery that went with it was dehumanizing. My Ancestors were terrorized by it. Yet to some their life as property and extrajudicial slaying as citizens is a laughing matter."

Coke Is NOT It!

This Is What Happens In Your Body When You Drink a Coke

Have you ever wondered why Coke comes with a smile? Because it gets you high. They removed the cocaine almost 100 years ago. Why? It was redundant.

In the first 10 minutes: 10 teaspoons of sugar hit your system. (100% of your recommended daily intake.) You don’t immediately vomit from the overwhelming sweetness because phosphoric acid cuts the flavor, allowing you to keep it down.

20 minutes: Your blood sugar spikes, causing an insulin burst. Your liver responds to this by turning any sugar it can get its hands on into fat. (And there’s plenty of that at this particular moment.)

40 minutes: Caffeine absorption is complete. Your pupils dilate; your blood pressure rises; as a response, your liver dumps more sugar into your bloodstream. The adenosine receptors in your brain are now blocked, preventing drowsiness.

45 minutes: Your body ups your dopamine production, stimulating the pleasure centers of your brain. This is physically the same way heroin works, by the way.
  • 60 minutes: The phosphoric acid binds calcium, magnesium, and zinc in your lower intestine, providing a further boost in metabolism. This is compounded by high doses of sugar and artificial sweeteners also increasing the urinary excretion of calcium.
  • 60 minutes: The caffeine’s diuretic properties come into play. (It makes you have to pee.) It is now assured that you’ll evacuate the bonded calcium, magnesium, and zinc that was headed to your bones as well as sodium, electrolytes, and water.
  • 60 minutes: As the rave inside you dies down, you’ll start to have a sugar crash. You may become irritable and/or sluggish. You’ve also now, literally, pissed away all the water that was in the Coke. But not before infusing it with valuable nutrients your body could have used for things like hydrating your system, or building strong bones and teeth.
If you can’t completely remove soft drinks from your diet then make sure you drink it in moderation. And if you’re trying to get your kids off this stuff, have them try this cool experiment.

Former Hip-Hop Mogul, James (Jimmy Henchmen) Rosemond Sentenced to Life in Prison

Breaking News c/o The Source Magazine:

James (Jimmy Henchmen) Rosemond, former manager to The Game, was sentenced to life plus five years in prison for his involvement in a major drug trafficking enterprise that infiltrated the streets of Brooklyn and Queens with cocaine.

Rosemond said nothing in Brooklyn Federal court on Friday but Federal Judge John Gleeson had plenty to say.

“You’re the kingpin,” Federal Judge John Gleeson said. “Not all kingpins necessarily deserve a life sentence but you certainly do.”

Rosemond,48, described as “intelligent” by Gleeson was convicted in 2012 of overseeing a drug trade that spanned across the country netting $11 million annually.

“His image as a music impresario was a cover for the real Jimmy Rosemond, a thug in a suit,” said Brooklyn U.S. Attorney Loretta Lynch.

The one-time suspect behind the murder of Tupac Shakur has worked with the likes of actor Michael K. Williams, Sean Combs and Rev. Al Sharpton.

Rosemond’s dealings with the legal system isn’t over just yet. He is expected to stand trial in Manhattan Federal Court for the murder-for-hire charges involving the death of an associate of rapper 50 Cent.

O.B. & SaFE -- You & I (Prod. By Reese Jones)

Paterson, NJ rapper and M.O.B. Stars leader O.B. presents the Jimmy Giambrone-directed music video for "You & I", the Reese Jones-produced first single from his forthcoming album Celestial Offerings. "You & I" features fellow M.O.B. Stars member SaFE. "The song was inspired by a need to bring back that competitive edge in hip hop," says O.B. "Not a lot of rappers at the time of its conception were delivering a lot of wit and aggressiveness while still being lyrical. We sought out to do just that and remain extremely polished at the same time. The video deals with the concept of 'In A Perfect World'. In that world, people, particularly women, wouldn't stray from very lyrical, intellectual hip hop. In fact, it would be essential and a part of their daily lives just like a lot of the mainstream stuff is. We wanted to show people who were just as dedicated to our music and by doing so, breaking the taboos surrounding underground and indie artists." Celestial Offerings drops November 30 featuring J Nolan, Culture Kev, Dano B. Picasso, Bretagne, RaCharm, Arkutec, Bravestarr, QB Da Problem, Kingshon and Nu Vintage.

New #BeardGang Trend - Superhero Logo Beards?

EXTREME BRANDING ?
Spotted this article on one of my fav sites this morning, Geekologie. Looks like radical advertising is making a comeback. BBDO Proximity, of Düsseldorf, Germany came up with this advertising idea originally. I think it accentuates the Braun cruZer promise of "perfect results every time"; but feel like a live demo would have been far more effective. It wouldn't surprise me if this never left the idea boards in spite of being a great idea. Photography is not enough for such a bold product functionality claim. Checkout what Geekologie had to say about it.

This is a small series of ads for the Braun CruZer beard and mustache trimmer featuringsuperhero logo beards and mustaches. Did they really use the Braun CruZer to shave those beards? Probably not. Are they just Photoshopped? Beats me. Is it even possible to shave your beard like that with a CruZer? Maybe, but it would help if you could actually grow one. My beard? I go from clean shaven to full-on lumberjack in four days. I can shave first thing in the morning and have a 5 o'clock shadow by 8AM. And that's not just the steroids talking either but God I just want to punch some faces right now.

Spotting Executive Money Pits

The Hidden Indicators of a Failing Project

Daniel Kahneman, in his book Thinking Fast and Slow, recounts a bit of a planning pickle he and his Israeli Ministry of Education colleagues encountered when estimating how long it would take to complete a high school textbook on judgment and decision making.

When the group estimated how long it would take to get the book done, the average wound up being two years. But when Kahneman pressed their curriculum leader to compare their team to other teams in similar situations, something a bit concerning happened: when the leader drew on his knowledge about similar teams and working on similarly big projects, he concluded that his team was slightly below average when it came to their skills and resources. He estimated that 40% of comparable projects failed, and for the teams that did finish, it took about seven years.

Even more concerning was the fact that until Kahneman prompted his colleague, “there was no connection in his mind between his knowledge of the history of other teams and his forecast of our future.” And even after the connection was made, the team didn't alter their project plans in the slightest.

Eight long years later, the book was completed. It was never used by the Ministry of Education.

If big projects aren’t at the forefront of your mind due to coverage of HealthCare.Gov’s rampant problems, they probably are because you’re actually working on one. And while there’s ample debate about what went wrong with the former (consultants! government! code! all of these things!), Kahneman’s tale points to another factor that may have played just as big a role: misperceptions, insecurities, and communication difficulties that often take place on project teams.

Truth be told, no one wants to be the person to pipe up and proclaim, “this massive project we’re betting our business on isn’t working, and here’s why.” According to Matthew McWha, the practice manager at CEB, a member-based advisory company, the culture of project management often discourages the raising of important red flags that could turn problem projects around.

“There’s a lot of perceived personal risk in saying, ‘I’m managing a failing project,’” he told me. “Or people actually think they can turn it around, so they don’t bring it up. They think they’re better off trying like the dickens to recover it in the meantime.”

McWha calls this a “watermelon project”: nice on the outside and one big mess once you cut through the surface. And if you think you can identify these projects in your company, forget it. “We think, based on our research, that a significant percentage of a portfolio that consist of watermelon projects don’t actually show up as troubled by conventional definitions,” he says.

Aside from human tendencies to self-protect and see themselves as the exception to the rule, the wrong project metrics are often being tracked — and they’re being tracked in the rear-view mirror. Too many projects measure success based on two metrics: time and budget. While these are important factors — research from Bent Flyvbjerg, author of Megaprojects: An Anatomy of Ambition, and his Oxford colleague Alexander Budzier identified time as the “the biggest factor and largest constraint” for tech projects in particular — they may not actually add up to what McWha defines as success: realizing your business outcomes.

The rub is that it’s easy to measure time and budget quantitatively; it’s not always so easy to measure business outcomes or whether you’re on the right track to meet them.

So how should you approach big projects differently? McWha offered a few suggestions based on research he’s conducted for the CEB PMO Leadership Council, analyzing over 100 large organizations with more than $1 billion in annual revenues:

Check and Revise Your Business Case Regularly. Because markets and competitive environments change, you should always revisit what, exactly, you’re doing, and more importantly, why you’re doing it. This is not only critical for uncovering hidden stumbling blocks, but can help guide your project toward accomplishing its business outcomes, which can shift over the course of your project.

Pay Attention to What Really Happens at Meetings. Gathering lots of data isn’t the be all and end all of project management. How people behave is just as important, if not more so. “If you have a project review meeting and no challenges or conflicts get raised, that’s a potential red flag,” he says. “The same is true if people walk away from a meeting with different perspectives of what’s happening.”

Cast a Wide Knowledge Net. It’s not just the core project team that needs to be part of the conversation. Educate your project sponsors on how to spot signs of trouble, and help people who aren’t involved in the day-to-day running of the project understand its goals and potential pitfalls. Often, when you’re in the midst of that Big Important Thing, it could take someone with an outside perspective to notice a problem everyone else missed.

Monitor What’s Not Being Spent. “If you’re not spending the money you should be spending, either you haven’t identified the right things to be spending it on, or people are hesitating to make decisions because the project objectives aren’t clear,” explains McWha.

Have an Entrepreneurial Project Manager. The number one driver of successful projects is agreat manager. This doesn’t just mean someone needs to be good at conducting the trains; the person you pick should be an ‘entrepreneur’ — someone able to manage stakeholders and risk, and be comfortable adapting and changing course if necessary. “Nothing stays constant,” says McWha. “You have to find and develop project managers who can exercise judgment instead of slavishly following the process.”

In the end, even the drivers of even successful projects aren't actually technical, Flyvbjerg and Budzier explained: they largely involve the project’s environment, whether there’s organizational resistance, and how risk is being managed. All of these internal indicators, combined with our own human perceptions about what we can and can’t do or say, play into whether projects are headed for a head-in-your-hands kind of moment.

Comedy News - John Belushi Biopic is Going Indie!

Great news for comedy fans: Not only has the promised John Belushi biopic been resurrected from the dead, but it’s also been pried from the hands of frat pack director Todd Phillips and steered in a new, indie direction. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the previously floundering project has been revived in the hands of Steve Conrad, who wrote The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and who will be directing his first film since 2008’s The Promotion. Dan Aykroyd is on board as an executive producer, as is Belushi’s widow, Judy Belushi Pisano. It’s impossible to predict how it will turn out, of course, but the project seems to be in steady hands.

There’s nothing necessarily wrong with Todd Phillips, of course, but a look at his directing credits (mostly “bro” comedies like Old School, Due Date, and the Hangover franchise) raises serious doubt as to whether he was up to the task of honoring one of America’s boldest, funniest and most tragic comedians, whose life and career were cut short at age 33 when he overdosed on cocaine and heroin. Phillips isn’t exactly known for exploring the human element in his characters, and there was a real danger that he’d have diminished Belushi for the consumption of a simple audience.

Still, there’s plenty of room for skepticism. Neither The Weather Man or The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Conrad’s main writing credits, dazzled critics or audiences. But at least there’s some complexity in his style, and a willingness to explore all sides of comedy, including the sides that don’t require a bit of patience before the payoff. In some ways, this may be the perfect vehicle for Conrad, and at the very least it’s a more appropriate fit for an icon as complicated as Belushi.

Conrad is considering actors as diverse as Emile Hirsch (Into the Wild), Adam Devine (Workaholics) and Joaquin Phoenix to play Belushi. Nelson Franklin has been considered to play Aykroyd

Self Hate - Iris implants threaten vision

Using surgical implants to change eye colour can rob people of their vision, some Canadian eye specialists warn.
Cosmetic iris implants are not available in Canada or the U.S., but some Canadian doctors have had to treat patients who went outside North America for the procedure and developed serious problems.
Beatriz Murillo, 36, travelled from Toronto to a clinic in Panama, where she paid $8,000 to have a silicone disc placed on top of her irises to lighten the colour from brown to green.
"I'm an artist and I'm afraid I'm never going to be able to paint again," said Murillo, who had the procedure three years ago.
Last year, she started to feel pain, as if knives were stabbing the inside of her eyes. She also experienced elevated pressure in her eyes. Since then, she's had two glaucoma surgeries and a cornea transplant that her body rejected, and she can now only see vague shapes and colours.
"Essentially, she's legally blind now in both eyes, despite the fact that these artificial implants have been removed," said Dr. Allen Slomovic, Murillo's ophthalmologist, noting she can only count fingers 0.6 metres in front of her face, which is significantly worse than legal blindness.
"I think the lesson Beatriz has taught us is to be very cautious when dealing with cosmetic implants."
Dr. Ike Ahmed, an eye surgeon at Mississauga's Credit Valley Hospital, has seen two similar cases of people needing medical and surgical treatment.
Iris implants can irritate the delicate eye, Ahmed noted.
"These are some of the complications that we are seeing, unfortunately, with this device causing inflammation in the eye, causing bleeding and causing glaucoma, all of which can cause serious vision-threatening problems," Ahmed warned.
Non-cosmetic iris implants have been used on people who were born without irises or have a torn or damaged iris, ophthalmologists say.
P.O.V.
Would you change your eye colour if the procedure were safe? Take survey.
But cosmetic iris implants are suspended in front of the iris in the front part of the eyeball, where there is little space, Ahmed said.
"At this time, we have no real safe, surgical way" to change eye colour, Ahmed said. "If one is really interested in changing their eye colour, then it means colour contact lenses."

At the New Iris clinic in Panama, Dr. Delary Kahn refused to talk about any specific patients, citing confidentiality.
"In the last six years, more than 600 procedures have been done including [on]
many patients from Canada," Kahn said in an email.
Murillo now wants to get a donor cornea transplant in hopes of stopping the pain and improving her sight.
As for the colour she sought with the implants, Murillo said the lighter version looked "fake."

Police Nation

A shocking report prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs(MFA) for the Federal Assembly (FA) is urging a new law be passed giving to all Russians traveling to the United States a “warning” that American police officers have entered upon an “unprecedented killing spree” that in the past decade has seen nearly 5,000 innocent civilians gunned down without benefit of either charges being filed, or being convicted of a crime.
Two of the worst American cities for police abuse likely to be visited by Russian citizens, this report says, are Chicago, which was condemned by the United Nations for its practice of widespread police torture, and New York City whose government paid out over $1 billion between 2000-2010 in lawsuit claims related to police abuse, and last year, 2012, had to pay out another $131 million to settle civil rights and police abuse claims too.
Grimly to be noted, this report continues, are that the statistics for the nearly 5,000 people killed by American police officers in the past decade, including 587 killed in 2012 alone, may not even be the true total of these deaths as a study of killings by police from 1999 to 2002 in the Central Florida region found that US national databases included only one-fourth of the number of persons killed by police as reported in the local news media.
To the types of people being targeted by these US police “killing machines,” this report says, are many with disabilities and mental illness, including:
Down Syndrome patient Robert Ethan Saylor, 26, who was brutally straggled to death by 3 Maryland sheriff’s deputies on 12 January and whose last words were cries for his “mommy” to come help him.

Mentally ill patient Bobby Bennett, 53, brutally shot by Dallas Texas police officers on 14 October while standing in the street in front of his house not threatening anyone. [See video HERE]
To the “kill first” mentality of American police officers this report cites the 29 November 2012 public execution of Timothy Russell and Malissa Williams by Cleveland Ohio police officers, who for daring to flee from police after a traffic stop were chased by 104 police officers for 25-minutes and then gunned down in a hail of 137 bullets.
Even though 63 of the 104 Cleveland police officers were suspended for the execution of Russell and Williams, this report says, no officers in the killing of Saylor or the shooting of Bennett have been charged.
In fact, this report states, the lack of American authorities holding their police officers responsible for killing of innocents is virtually unheard of in the United States and has caused this unprecedented “explosion” of police violence.
Equally to be blamed, this report continues, are America’s wars over the past 12-years that has filled its police departments with veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan who have yet to acclimate to civilian life and are, in essence, still in “combat mode.”
Two of the many examples cited in this report of this “combat mode” mentality held by American police officers include:
Allen Hicks, in 2012, who was arrested by Tampa Florida police officers for “not following orders” and was thrown into a jail cell where he was later found to be having a stroke, and which a few months later he died from in hospital.

Elliott Williams, in 2011, who was arrested by Tulsa Oklahoma police officers on a minor charge and was left in his jail cell for 5 days until he died, all the while being neglected and his health ignored.
What’s even worse, this MFA report warns, is that this unprecedented “killing spree” US police officers are now on is only going to get worse as these once honored guardians of the peace have become more militarized.
And as further warned about the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU): “American neighborhoods are increasingly being policed by cops armed with the weapons and tactics of war.
To if the Obama regime will attempt to stop this police “killing spree,” this report concludes, it does not appear likely as President Obama has just nominated as his new Homeland Security Secretary former Pentagon lawyerJeh Johnson, and who has said, “US citizens do not have immunity from assassination when they are at war with the United States.
And to whom these Obama regime leaders feel they are “at war” with, the MFA says, was recently revealed in US Court documents relating to a lawsuit against the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) which shockingly revealed that the invasive personal searches conducted by them upon their own citizens has nothing to do with preventing terrorism, but is, instead, designed to make these people as compliant to police authority as possible.
